"H" and "HT" Paintstik® Hot Metal Markers
Developed for marking Hot Coils, Slabs, Billets, Blooms, or many other hot surfaces. Ideal for color coding and identifying alloys, heat numbers and inventory numbers.

"H" Paintstik® Marker for marking at temperatures 66º to 650ºC. (150º to 1200ºF.) 9.5mm x 117mm.

"H-T" Paintstik® Marker for marking at temperatures 121ºC to 871ºC. (250º to 1600ºF.) 9.5mm x 114mm.

Standard of the steel, aluminum and fabricating industries; their marks are long-lasting, weather-resistant, even when marked on red-hot surfaces. Ideal for marking steel, aluminum and other metals that must be stored or transported outdoors. The marks will not run, char, flow, discolor, peel or crack.

This chart provides you with the optimal marking temperature range for each markers. This information should be used as a general guide only. We will be happy to recommend the best marking product for your specific application. Cold surface markers are generally formulated to work within the following ranges -46° to 66°C. (-50° to 150°F.). C and N Paintstik® -18°C. to 66°C. and O-10 Paintstik® -18° to 121°C.
Other HT Paintstik® Marker formulations are available to mark effectively in various high temperature ranges. Special formulations of high temperature markers can be developed for specific applications.
